So far i guess the top intercoolers that everyone suggests is the AMS and the BUSCHUR.

Anybody know a cheap place to get them? or do i have to go direct to AMS and BUSCHURRACING?

I plan on getting a AMS turbo upgrade kit sometime next year, however i like the shape/style of the buschur intercooler better. Will the buschur be good for about 500-550whp?

Also, how much is the buschur going for?

It's amazing how someone can just say that one is better than another without offering so much as one ounce of information that supports their opinion.

Ted-
While the Nisei information discusses many important factors about intercooler construction, and makes comparisons with other leading brands, it fails to address other specifications and variables that may have a direct impact on actual performance. Nisei does not disclose the thickness of their core. They instead compare the frontal surface area which is only useful if all the cores compared are of the same thickness and fin configuration. A 3.6" core should cool better than a 3" core if they are of the same construction type. I would also offer that the vertical tube spacing will influence the tube's ability to dissipate heat due to the volume of external cooling air that can or cannot flow between the tubes. A higher tube count may not necessicarily yield increased cooling if the tubes are placed too close together.

The only way to effectively compare the performance gains of a specific product is to measure the performance gains through testing on the same car under identical conditions.

Okay i've been doing a lot of looking around.

The two i've narrowed down to are:

- BUSCHUR IC - EVO 8 STANDARD INTERCOOLER UPGRADE - $650 + s/h (buschurracing.com)

- Turbo XS FMIC - $649shipped (lancershop.com)

The reason I like the TURBO XS fmic is because it has a nice design, and it comes with polished end tanks.

I like the buschur cz it has a nice design, and you can't go wrong with buschur, there's no doubt its an awesome intercooler.

Now can you guys give me any input on why I should go with one over the other?

Thanks!
