You would notice. It's fairly pronounced. Thanks for the info guys. Hopefully, I'll get it resolved without replacing the lifter.

Thanks for the response. I couldn't have said it better.

i have the freakin "ticking" noise with stock cams. but mine goes away. the only thing i dont like, is if i go under the hood with the car on and increase the RPM via the TB i can hear a faint tick here an there. i guess when i have Pruven install my cams i will have them take a look at it

we got the same thing.. it started off with no sound then the sound gradually became louder.. we thought something was wrong an pope the valve cover back off real quick.. resealed it and also put the car back on the ground as it was jacked up on one side.. and the sound was gone.. make sure you tighten those bolts on the cam gear!.. we missed that part and found out there was a problem real quick... we also broke a bolt on the second pair that was installed.

What kind of mileage you have? They are probably dirty.

Yeah you can probably get rid of the noise if you cleaned them. It was very common on the DSMs and that was the cure. They are the same lifters anyway.

No, you just got lucky. Usually what happens is the extra lift slams the piston back in on the lifter and blows the seal and then the lifter is dead. This usually only happens on one or 2 on the intake side because the cam rotates towards the lash adjusters.

Yes, someone who didn't bleed them had a noise so he was going to clean them. When he took it apart #2 intake lifter was bad so he had to replace it. I think he still went ahead and cleaned the rest while he was at it.
