I have the 30th anniversary and love the polished piping and resonator. The coated mild steel piping of the regular hi-power doesn't match the car. We have so much aluminum on the car. From a material sense, I like to "upgrade" when modding my car if possible and feasible.

No, like Z1performance said, unless you plan on making your car an absolute terror (which all of us dream of, and very few actually do), a 2.75" taper isn't going to affect your HP gains on the average car. Especially if you have a stock intake, stock turbo, and NO air/fuel controller or ECU upgrade.

I believe there was a big exhaust article in a magazine last summer that tested a ton of Evo exhausts, and the HKS made like 11whp. (FYI, Buschur won that contest, so you might want to check them out.)
