well it'd kick the sh_t out of an IS 300 . . . Its a nice car, and a decent mix of performance and luxury for the price . . . I don't know where "Marcio" with a Mazda 3 gets off saying that it isn't.

i would buy the R32...none of you here have any clue how bad the resale of the evo really is. I do, i just traded in my 03 silver evo with 13000 miles and was lucky to get 23000 for it(took it to 5 dealers) to those who say they don't care....ok don't ***** in 2 years when it is only worth 15000 and you owe 22k. The r32 will be strong in the next years for resale while the evo won't(if mitsu is still even here) just some advice from a former owner of an evo

what? comparted to a STI or EVO that car is trash, sure the interior may be nicer but if you want performance than go for either of those, and if you want luxury and realibility, then get the IS300

1) the car is not trash.

2) if he wants luxury, why go for the IS 300? the IS is no nicer than the R32 on the inside. . . and at least the R32 as some power behind it.

3) for pure performance, of course the r32 can't compete. But again, that doesn't mean its trash.

I'd say go.
I am concidering one now. The diff from the rest of VW's is that it was designed for Europe and is built in Europe, unlike my VR6 ( Mexico). It took me close to 10K to make my VW handle and appear properly, R32 is already proper.
Oh and another thing: it's VolkswagEn not VolkswagOn and first sound is "F" Cheers!

i didnt say it was trash, i said it was trash COMPARED to the Evo or STI. Volkswagons are nice and all, but for that much id rather have the Evo or STI. IS300 is made by toyota which is probably the most reliable car company, and I hear that volkswagons factories are not as up to date as toyotas or nissans.

Playing semantic games now? I can do that too. So by trash you mean trash in relation to another car. So, by your logic, your "3" is "trash" compared to the r32 and the is300 as well, just like the r32 is trash compared to the evo?

lets not be so emotional

me emotional??? nah i was just stating that for 30k you are much better off with an Evo or an STI than a R32. I wouldnt call my 3 trash since my car costed 12k less than an R32. Its not in the same class, and the point of this thread was to see if the R32 is a worth contender compared to the Evo, STI, Is300, etc.
