Eric

Don't you mean the 4G64 motors have headgasket problems?

So the AMS kit does not cause excessive wear on the cylinder walls when stroking the motor?
Is there a downside to using the AMS stroker kit?

3000 to 4000, i think?

by the way, have you guys had a stroker kit? i've seen one up close when it was running. that's what I know from talking to the guy who had one. sorta brief conversation.

but There must be a pro and con on 2.3 vs 2.4.

RNR, stronger components and they do know their product. I have first hand experience with their service and fabication, and from my knowledge, RNR has been producing quality 2.4l kits and making a great deal of customers very happy.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to piece together your own kit, that way you can choose the best brand?

usually the kit costs less, unless you go bargain shopping. You also could run into fitment issues, etc.

that and all the hardware you have to purchase... pia.

Our 2.4 haven't had any head gaskets issues. It all comes down to using the right gasket, tuning, etc.

Our 2.4 Bottom end is $4500 and comes all ready to drop in your car. It also comes with a 4G64 block so you can keep your stock bottom end.

You guys really should be hitting up the major dsm boards for this information. It all has been covered already. Even though the motor is opposite it is all the same thing when it comes to stroking.

My opinion if you guys are not going to go all out with custom rods and everything you should just do the 2.3. If you search dsm boards you would know how easy this is too.

not to mention you road race guys wont like the fact that the 4G64 block does not have any provisions for Oil squirters. Under drag race conditions its not that big of a deal but tossing a car around a track oil starvation is a big problem.

yes I meant 4G64. sorry for the hicup

Geo is right. this isnt anything new. Hell my 94 talon has had a stroker motor in it for over 2 years now I love the damn thing

Yes, we have been doing the stroker motors for a while now. Have done them in several EVO's here at the shop and have sent out several. For most customers we like the 64 block better, but the parts for the 63 are more available.
