I spoke with Robert at Road Race and he said they built the first RNR (don't know if they've built any others since I spoke w/ him 4 months ago). He'd be a good guy to ask.

I've heard the 4g64 blocks have head warpage issues.

You need to read an awful lot more than. The 2.3L and 2.4L USE THE EXACT SAME ROD LENGTH AND STROKE. They both have a rod ratio of 1.5, there is no difference from that standpoint.
Both engines use a 100mm stroke crank. The 4G64 has a 87mm bore.

There are two instances in which the 4G64 presents any advantage. The first would to get custom 156mm rods made and move the pin into the bottom of the oil ring. This gives you a 1.56 rod ratio and makes for a lighter piston. The second situation is if you are doing real head porting the larger bore will allow you to unshroud the valves more.
Other than that the 2.4L holds NO advantage.

For stroker kits, i'd recommend the AMS kit.....they make really high-quality parts and they definitely know their stuff. Haven't heard much about the RNR stroker kit, so i couldn't give u my opinion of it. There's a video clip flying around on the boards of an EVO with an AMS stroker kit and an AMS GT35R turbo kit that is smoking cobras and LS1 camaros, so try to find that and im sure you'll be impressed! Good luck man!
two 600 whp cobras, 450+ camaro ss, and a 12 sec srt 4. all on a roll. i still have the videos. they are bad ***

Does the 4G64 block have the same strength as the 4G63 block? Does it have the oil squerters? You can just swap on a Evo head?

A 2.4 would be nice, but you would really be limiting your rev range plus the vibration ona 4 banger that big may be too much.

I would assume that with the stroked 4G63 that you would want to run the balence shafts? Actually, if everything were balanced, why would it matter? The only thing that I could think of is the higher piston speeds exastebating an out of balance issue, but if everything is up to par then this should be a moot point.

Balance shafts and balancing internal engine components have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
