APS BOV adjustment

Have any of you guys with the APS BOV adjusted the piston travel on it with the screw on the top? I just got one and I noticed that I can only get it to blow off to atmosphere at 5,000rpm and above and it's not very loud at all. I can't really hear it with windows up.

I am running stock boost right now and this is my first mod so do you think I can loosen it a tad and then drive it a couple times. My real question is how do I know it's to loose or to tight ?

I think the APS is louder than the Greddy Type-S.

any adjustment will not make the APS louder

If you do not have a open intake the APS valve is fairly quiet. IF you do have a intake it actually gets pretty loud. ON our evo we have this valve on the TurboXS intake and it sounds wonderful.

It wont necessarily make it louder but, but it will change the ratio that is recirculated vs VTA.

Thanks guys, that's all I needed to know. Just wanted to see if adjustment would make it louder. It's going to be awhile before I get an intake because from what I have read you have to get an ecu flash which is $200 on top of the $200 intake which is a large wad of cash.
