Hey there, You guys were right in saying the magnaflow ti is the best. One of the lightest out there. And if you want i can sell them to you for $750 which is alot less then anywere else. They are direct from Magnaflow also so you get the peace of mind that you are getting a great exhaust. Pm me for more info you you like
Weight savings with an exhaust not a big issue IMO. 10lbs = <0.3% of the weight of the car. This is the equivalent of ~1hp in weight savings at the 400hp level. <yawn>
Quality / Price / Sound
Quality - The cheapest doesn't offer the best build quality. I don't give a damn how dressed up it appears, so long as it is constructed well enough to withstand years of vibration. After all, I don't want to buy it more than once. I've seen some that are impressive, and some that are disappointing in this regard. Titanium and carbon fiber in this application are primarily marketing fluff and bling for the easily impressed.
Price - With little exception, one typically gets what he pays for where fit and finish is concerned. Nevertheless, the 'best' isn't necessarily the priciest, and the cheapest isn't necessarily the least attractive.
Sound - One forum member was making a point about how his popular, cheaper system was supposedly sooooo good. My impression was that it sounded like ***. He heard the sound of mine and shut up. It's easy to make a system that sounds crappy, and a good few of them do. I don't like going down the road sounding like farting in a tin can, but YMMV.
