This isn't the infamous two little plastic clips coming off the intake snorkel is it? Check that out to be sure. It's a simple fix...

Your may have hit fuel cut or even limp home mode or something. But without a CEL I'm not sure. Reset the ECU again.

it sounds as if it is backfiring and making popping noises from the exhaust. anyways the codes it threw were P0420, P0138, P0234, P0113, P0107, P0234.

Thatas alot of codes.
I'd start by putting the stock BOV back on just to see if it still does it. Running 18PSI the stocker is fine. Minus the ricey whoosh sound.

i tried the stocker on, but it is still making weird popping noises from the exhaust and losing performance. first you hear the popping noise, and then the choking starts happening.

What does these codes mean anyways?....

DTC P0113: Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input
DTC P0107: Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
DTC P0234: Turbocharger Wastegate System Malfunction
DTC P0420: Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold

I had the EXACT same mileage when mine started doing that.. You run the car at high boost pressures for a while, the plugs wil "crack" per se.. I changed them out with new OEM Mits plugs and it was corrected.. The old plugs might look ok, but they've given up.. Since the change, I put 5K more miles running like a banshee.. Buy NEW plugs and try that.. It happened with all my DSM's, and worked the same way... My .02...
