buschur cat leak

I just installed buschur tbe, Installed beautifully btw, top quality everything but one question the high flow cat at the downpipe connection has a small leak, its not bad but i can still feel it on my hand, just wondering why there isnt a gasket for it so there is no leaks, and is a small leak signifacant

Thx

I think the directions that it came with mention that you don't need gaskets and that any leaks would be minor. You could try sanding both surfaces with a sandling block or grab a 3" gasket from an auto parts store or even a place that sells truck parts. Hope that helps.

I bought mine in july and i dont think they have changed it? if you look at the pics on they're site there arent any flanges.. did you buy it from Buschur or someone else... if its got flanges its not a buschur... ... the 3" c clamps come with addhesive on them to seal the pipes... no gaskets needed...

I remember David saying he can build with flanges now per request. So did you get the slip fit or the flanges? Did you buy it new from Buschur? If you bought it used, just order new clamps.

Just installed mine and i have a leak. I found a 3 in 2 bolt gasket and it fit in there, i possibly think it may possibly be leaking at the dp and 02 housing. I think there needs to be sometype of gasket there...

I believe they did change the design to use a flange between the downpipe and cat/test pipe. You can see it in the pictures on their website. Unfortunately, I have the older slip-fit version so I can't tell you if it comes with a gasket or not, but I'm sure they can help you out if you give them a call.

I've got the buschur 2.5 downpipe and didn't use a gasket for the o2 housing. it works great. I pondered why there wasn't one for a while. but if you look at the housing im not really sure you would even get a gasket to work right.

I have a Buschur TBE system installed on my car I put in on in April. It is flanged between the downpipe and the cat/test pipe section. I didn't request the it flanged it just came that way. How major of a leak is it? Are you getting carbon buildup on the flanges? I have not had any problems with leaks. As far as the downpipe leaking I know this is a dumb question but did you take the dounut off of the O2 housing before you put on the downpipe?

If you found a 3" gasket that fits boost ***** I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know where and the part number. We have continued to search and have found nothing. Also have had a prototype copper gasket cut that doesn't work worth a crap.

Also if we sent you wrong bolts then I am sure had you called we would have sent the right ones to you ASAP.
