Assuming you are speaking of midrange torque, that can be achieved as simply as by setting your cam timing (assuming you have adjustable gears) explicitly for the purpose.

i do plan on getting cam gears in my next stage of mods. And maybe an alky kit too.

I guess GREDDY is right, u gotta pay the price to get what u want, in regards to the stroker kit.

You don't need to be stroked out to a bigger displacement... or get a bigger turbo... or even get cam gears for more torque. I'm putting down 420wtq on the stock turbo, block, head, cam gears, etc. Methanol injection definitely helps out a lot... and so does the tuning.

If you are sticking with the stock turbo do as ct92 gsr suggested. The stock turbo makes a bunch of torque because it makes boost down low in the RPM range. Making the same whp as you do wheel torque in an EVO is normal.

Very fun to drive a properly set up stock turbo EVO.

That set up also gives you one helluva kick in the pants when you take off if you have the alky set low enough..
