Water Pump leaking????

i dont get it. I must have every possible problem with my evo. I have a 2005 and so far my tranny grinded 5th and the dealer destroyed my tranny and wouldnt warranty it after 4 rebuilds because the car was modified, My T-case blew, My dash board rattles, and now MY WATER PUMP IS LEAKING!!!!! ONLY 8600 MILES ON THE CAR!!!

what Did I do to make this happen??? Nothing, timing cover has never been off, car still has stock cams. But the car is too modded to bring it to the dealer so Now i gotta to a water pump/T-belt job. I guess i'll just do it when i do my cams and headstuds but what gives??? Anyone elde have this problem???

Sorry to hear it man. You should try out a different dealer. My dealership doesn't mind my TBE, intake, reflash, and cams (they probably have no idea about the reflash or cams). They keep fixing my leakin t-case over and over (going on the 4th time now). I had the 5th gear grind like you and the dealership screwed up on it and had to fix it again (they never worked on a evo tranny before and my tranny still feels funny to this day).

Just curious and NOT trying to point blame or anything.

How long do you wait before you drive the car hard in boost after a cold start?

BTW that sucks because I have an 05 and so far it's been good to me.

That would be my guess as well. Sounds like the car has seen quite a few launches and what not.

What kinda engine warm up do u do? If i don't warm it up before backin out the driveway i NEVER boost it till its at operating temp.

With my evo I've learned to talk to the mechanics before letting them touch my car. Many don't know sh*t, but there are a few good ones who know their stuff. I'm conviced i wouldn't have any driveline problems if i wouldn't have let the dealership rebuild my tranny for that fifth gear grind ( i should of had Shepard or team rip do it).

Put the car back to stock and drop it back off at Mitsu, I think you got a lemon. When I saw this post it actually made me feel bad for you, and I thought I had horrible luck. Hope everything turns for the better.

I have remote start so my car is usually at operating temp before i drive it, if i dont use the remote start, I always let it warm up

ummmmmmmmm no, I brought the car the 1st time for a slight 5th gear grind. The rest of the tranny was flawless. I got it back and the car wouldnt go into 3rd gear, and the shifter was moving when I was in 1st gear. So i brough it back and they rebuilt it a 2nd time and then 2 days later the car was imposible to get into any gear. Then after the 3rd rebuild it was still tough to get it but they told me to see how it lasted. after 11 days i heard a loud sound like i was dragging a shopping cart under my car. I brought it there and they said a bearing fell off of a shaft. They left a retaining clip off and it fell off and tore up part of the housing. Then ISLAND MITSUBISHI said hmmmm, your car is modified, we cant do anything else for you so pick it up with a flatbed in pieces.

I dont beat the **** out of anything,
