Do I need one on a stock turbo pushing close to 350-375hp? Very hot climates?

To be honest alot of people who get aftermarket radiator, gets it for looks. You should get a bigger radiator if you do alot of road racing/track because you do alot of slowing down and speeding up which will vary the air flow through the radiator. Even though you are/saying going to be pushing 300+hp, how often are you going to use it? I mean if you are just cruising/driving on the freeway, how many hp are you actually using to keep the car moving? If you will do alot of track, by all means get one.

It always look good to have a big *** radiator to intimidate the competitor. I share you this little story. I used to have a '94 civic gsr turbo transplant and was using the stock radiator for almost a year with no problems. I'm just saying that the stock radiator we have in our evo is very efficient.

Tip, purchase a thermostat before the radiator. It will be more affective unless you are going to track the car.

Still.............How much of that usable hp are you going to be using? When people say I have so much hp, whether it be 500 or whatever, those are just peak/"spurt" hp. You are not continuosly using your peak hp at cruising? If you have the funds, by all means get a Koyo. But for now, just get a lower temp. thermostat.

doesn't the thermostat just turn on the fan earlier then the stock. radiator would do more good at keeping temps down. i could be wrong.

The thermosat will open up earlier allowing the radiator to cool the engine quicker. If u get a aftermaket thermostat the thermostat will open up quicker at a lower temperature. If u dont undersand ill try re-explaining.
