Atp turbo kit owners

I just want to know what you guys think of the turbo kit and the power you guys got from the kit and is it worth the money..... Ordered the 3037 .62 trim. Let me know how boost you guys push to see 400 to the wheels also. Thanks for your time

How do ATP kits suck? Its based on preference. Mine is great, no problems in install, great customer service, unbeatable price for what your getting, and countless smiles on my face But, I guess I was a lucky one.

and 12k miles on my kit, and not a problem...and still pulls like day 1

I think people who say it sucks are refering to how the exhaust house kind of snails around the wheel instead of coming straight down?

hmmm... in that case there is another thread where i said a similar thing... your hot side is not gonna be your limiting factor... the cold side will be... it will cause you too boost taper just like the stock tubo does.

i suggest getting that 2.4l and then running a 3076, you'll spool faster than stock... make tons more power and everything will be very responsive.

remember with larger engines and turbos you want the power to be building, taper is so annoying.

I wanted a very quick spooling turbo and I got the larger hotside so that the turbo wouldnt run out of air up top.
I also doubt the 3076 with a stroker would spool quicker than a stock setup, probably not even close to stock spool.
I only want to make 450whp @ all times with 100octane and I think with this setup, it should pretty easy...

your hot side won't run outta breath but your cold side will... that's the whole point of the 21g... is to get more boost til redline... why would you basically foul that wtih a small comp wheel? you're sayin' you don't wanna run outta breath... you will.... with a small cold side... it'll act just like stock... why? cuz the 3071 is only slightly bigger than stock, and it will run its efficiency range perfectly on stock displacement and stock rev limit. anything beyond and it should taper. .4 liters is not just a lil beyond.

the 3076 with supporting mods will spool 26psi at 3900rpm... at least in one instance (gt40's car) so add .4 liters... aren't you lookin' at at least a 100rpm improvement? that's fast as stock... and i bet you'll get more than 100rpm improvement... that will get you faster than stock. stock being stock spool on a stock car... which is full boost around 3800rpm... if you're talkin modded... a modded small turbo will always boost faster than a modded big turbo.

Well, from what I have heard/seen the 3071r has no problem holding boost all the way to redline and I have actually seen dynographs on this website that have proven this.
I have also used two different turbo kits in the past( Ill leave the names out) was very unhappy with the spool, basically I was told the spooled very close to stock and it was no where near.
Im just curious, do you have this turbo kit on your car(3071r ATP) or have some personal experience with them? The reason I ask is because I dont go by what anyone says until I experience it first hand. Not trying to be rude...Theres alot of misinformation on this site..
I think in the Vishnu furoms theres a 3071r dyno graph that proves the it can easily hold boost...
And last I am looking for a street/track car, not a drag or dyno car, hopefully this setup will work...

yes... the 3071 will hold boost til redline... on stock displacement... when you up the displacement you need to flow MORE air... ti's not about psi it's about pounds of air flow. and the 3071 will not cut a 20% increase in displacement.

spool is related to the hot side... so you wanna keep that small... this is what makes the 3071 AND the 3076 spool fast... the .63 housing... NOT the .82.

once again... vish is not running a stroked motor to my knowledge. it's about pounds of air flow... and the wheel on the 3071 in my opinion will not do it without taper.
