Exhaust modification question

One problem:I finally recieved my exhaust. It is perfect, 80mm and one bend, no resonators. The stock slip flange necks to 2.5". Damnit.

I could do one of two things:

1) Run a 76/80mm Downpipe which necks to the stock cat, run a 2.5" testpipe in place of the stock cat, run that to the exhaust and do no modification

2) Run a 76mm DP/TP and have an exhaust shop modify the exhaust, compress the 80mm pipe to 76mm, weld on a flange and call it a day since I cant find any 80mm exhaust flanges for the life of me.

How much power am I going to lose with option 1? Exhaust modification and all this stuff is turning out to be really expensive, and there is always the possibility that the shop could **** the exhaust up. Is anyone else in my situation?

Thanks.

get a 3 inch downpipe and test pipe and go to a muffler shop and have them cut off the reducer and weld on a 3 inch pipe and flange... rallysportdirect.com sells 3 inch flanges...
