hrmmmm where do u guys reccomend getting a turbo and does anyone know what AMS'S setup is ?

if u merge a 2.3L stroker with a GT35r .63AR, will this setup be gd?

^ well if u got the stroker i'd recommend going with the 0.82a/r ...since u'd be able to spool it without much lag due to the increase in displacement

rational behind the 0.82AR is that u get better top end power?

i was tinking of 0.63AR for much better spool up, does this thinking of mine equates?

pls advise...

Yep with an .82 ar you will get better top end. You will spool up about 500rpm later. On a .63 you will get better spool up and give up some top end. You have to know what you want.

He is exactly right....additionally if you get the gt35r make sure that it has the 4" ported shroud......70 a/r . If you sway away from this setup you will likely have surge pretty bad if you start to build boost from a lower rpm in say 3rd , 4th or 5th. I made that mistake and ended up having to get a ported housing later. CAll up precision turbo and ask for patrick. Tell him i sent ya!

nah the gt35R is fine most are running 30R but thier is such a minimal difference between the 2 and u get so much more power out of the 35R thier is no reason not 2 if u search a bit thier are a ton of threads about this....


so dave u think a precision turbo .70ar and 4" compres housing and ill b money?

680 GT-35R 82mm 56 0.70 Ball Bearing 68mm 84 0.82, 1.06

thats what i found on Garrets site? is that the one im looking for other then the 4" compressor housing?

i personally dont like them cause i havent herd 2 much great stuff about thier kits and they dont come with a manifold etc...

don't use atp...did you buy the manifold yet ? Yeah that is good turbo to go with ...call up patrick and chat with him but thats what i have. Should be a .63 backside.

atp has good turbos etc. but i wouldn't use there atp kit for the evo. But overall there a excellent company.
