Bov

First thing is I installed my Greddy type S BOV a few weeks ago and it works and sound great... but I didn't mod it and it hasn't stalled at all but when its getting warmed up and I rev it up to 5000 RPM's it sounds like its hitting the rev limiter then when it gets warmed up I can rev it higher like 6k or 7k is that normal??? No problems driving though.

My second question is does anyone have an idea of what kind of exhaust is on the eclipse in "the fast and the furious"??? Sounds nice.

Thanks.

your rev limiter is at 5K to prevent redline clutch drops

try it out on the track and you will knowwhere your red line is cold or hot. Also the exhuast sound in movies are dubbed in. So you can't be sure what the real exhaust sounds like until you either have a sound file or hear it in person.

if you're not talkin' about freerev, yes that is normal. my celica used to hit rev limit at 6700 or so when cold... and then hit the normal rev limiter after it was warmed up.

let me suggest something, don't redline when your car is cold.

+1

He needs to make sure he knows about the 5k launch limiter that engages when the clutch is depressed, and the car is not moving.

Please dont try to bounce your car off the rev limiter when you engine is cold. Thats would be like me coming to your house at 4 a.m. and making you run sprints around a track
