Hi guys.. I might be panicking but I had a concern about my new clutch and I just wanted to know if this was normal.

The car runs fine and I can't even race it with no problems.. but I noticed a sound the other day and I just wanted to know if it was normal.

If I am in any gear.. it doesn't matter as long as it's engaged.. if I slam down on the clutch.. kinda like I would if I was trying to race it and quickly switch gears.. I hear a thumping sound somewhere in the clutch area. I recently got a new clutch the ACT 2600. I won't hear it if I drive it normally.. or if I shift faster than normal.. It is only when I really just quickly slam it down and shift. It isn't just the petal hitting the floor it's somewhere in the clutch, maybe the transfer case... it's loud enough for me to hear it's coming from underneath the car.

Can anyone assist .

 

when you put your new clutch in did u use your orgiinal fly wheel if so, did you get it turned? because if u didnt that is your problem right there

Did you adjust the freeplay from underneath the dash? If you turn that bolt too much it will cause it to hit the clutch master cylinder and will make the sound you described.
