APS BOV & Shifting?

Hey guys I got couple questions. First off I am running about 331whp on dynojet and I am using an APS Bov. It seems with the APS BOV when I am shifting I need to re-spool the turbo a lot more then need. Yesterday I went out with my cousin we played with adjustments on it and it seemed to help when we tighten it clock wise. But still 2nd to 3rd it seems u just have get just right to make it feel like a fast shift. With the adjustment 3rd to 4th feels perfect now. I think I am going to try to put on the stock BOV just to see the difference.

My question is that, is anybody running the APS BOV and getting good mph in 1/4 mile with the horsepower? How does the shifting feel when making pull?

The reason I am asking because I think with APS BOV I am not able shift fast enough and my car is running rich between shifts which equals to me only running 105mph in a 1/4 when I should be doing 110mph.

isn't it possible to just recirculate completely?

I'm running the APS BOV and stock turbo and trapping 110+.....then again I have AEM with MAP conversion so I don't have to worry about recirc issues. Don't know what to tell you except switch back to a recircing BOV or go MAP.

I trapped 106 3 hours after it had rained with the aps bov and with 292/301 on a mustang dyno. Unless you have cams or are on racegas, I would consider your 110 trap to be a little high. I only have a tbe, mbc and tune. Maybe I'm slow

How do you have it adjusted? Do you feel that you need to re-spool while shifting?

I do have cams and yes I was running race gas at the time. I dyno'd at around 350whp on a dyno dynamics so that was pretty good. When we had the car on the dyno when we tightned the adjustment screw all the way down we picked up significant horsepower at high boost. I generally run with it adjusted this way and don't have any problems with surge or flutter.

i have a APS valve and haven't noticed myself waiting for spool inbetween shifts. But then again i don't really try to shift fast. I will give it a go and see if i notice anything.

This statement helps. Well I made 331whp on a dynojet with the APS BOV unadjusted. Couple days ago I have messed around with the adjustement, right now I have the screw just a little bit out of the nut that goes around it. By any chance can you get me a pick of your APS Bov, so I can see the adjustment level on it? If you don't mind me asking, who tuned ur car?

Im having a problem with mine I just installed. At full boost it works fine. But when take of in 3rd or 4th gear and give it full throtle it some times jerks the car like I lost boost. I have tried a couple of different setings on it and the same problem keeps happening.

I'll try and get some pics tomorrow, but basically it is adjusted almost all the way down. Dynocomp in Scottsdale, AZ tuned the car.
