Maybe you should buy cam gear and valve spings too.Make your decision to 264/272 or 272/272.

what turbo are you going to run? stock with great mid range power I would suggest going with the 264/264. the only thing you really need to get is head studs. if you go with 264/272 or 272/272 get some cam gears.

currently have 264's on mine... but looking to go with 264/272 as I feel like I need more top end. Yeah. definately change the headstuds while you at it and valve springs if you have extra $$.

when you say you need more top end though what do you mean does that mean you have less top end then the stock cams or you want more top end in general which cam does what in terms of power i know the intake cam and exhaust cam functions but which cam suits which need like the 264's are for mid range but 264/272 is for top end what would happen if you had 272/272 cams

280's require more things you have to buy to safely run them

264/272 is the best overall combo for these cars...you dont "need" anything else to run them safely, though headstuds are a highly recommended mod to install at the same time

As for cam gears, unless you have a standalone, I'd personally skip them - the 264/272 combo works great without gears at all, and the idle is still very stable.

We also happen to have a bunch of 264/272's in stock...see our thread in the vendor classifieds seciton
