Greddy boost gauge, buy a TT harness to ease install?

I'm wondering if it would make my life easier to use a TT harness to get my electrical connections, rather than cut/splice/solder from the cigarette wiring harness?

I just planned on cutting off the connector for the TT, and soldering to those wires if that's the route I decide to go.

Are you talking about an actualy boost gauge or one built into their turbo timer?

An actual 52mm boost gauge. I'm replacing a *cough* Autometer Sport Comp which I can throw farther than I trust it.

Where did you get that? I can get a TT harness for about $15, so if the required connections are there, I'll probably just go that route instead of hacking into my wires like I did the first time I installed the boost gauge.

Just run to Autozone and get some of those connectors that stick into your fuse box locations, find one of the switched sources, use that for power, and ground out on any bolt under the dash. No need for a harness.

I don't really want to do a fuse connector install, I'll cut, splice & solder if that's what it comes down to. I guess 6 years as an electronics technician prevents me from using those things or vampire clips.

I guess what I really want to know is if all the required wires are present in a TT harness for a Greddy electronic boost gauge?

heh.. I feel the same way about those vampire clips. I did exactly what you're trying to do. I hooked up my greddy boost gauge to my turbo timer harness. You to need to run a separate ground wire though.
