Question Blitz TT install ?

I am trying to install my Blitz TT with the harness. There is a white wire that comes of by itself on the harness and I can't figure out where it goes. I did a search but could not find any reference to the white wire. Everyone says the install is so easy (w/ harness) so I'm feeling kinda' dumb

I'm getting ready to install a Blitz FATT DC III TT myself, but not until this weekend...just came today. The vendor sent a separate harness made by HKS. It doesn't have any separate single wires. The only single wires on mine are one on the harness that came inside the TT box (this harness connects to the HKS harness and the TT control unit), and a long purple wire that connects to the back of the TT control unit and taps into the handbrake wire in the console.

The single wire that comes off the harness that came inside the TT box is black, and has a "spade" style connector on the end of it. It's a ground wire that you have to connect somewhere to bare metal, on a screw or bolt under the dash some place convenient.

Didn't your TT come with instructions in English?...Which model did you get?

You might get more responses from people that have done the install with the exact same TT as you have if you go to the Evo Tech Forum and post...

Sorry I couldn't be any more help...

I just finished installing a Blitz DTT/HKS harness the other day. My harness had two black ground wires (wonder why mine had 2) with spades that just connect to any grounding points. I also had the purple wire that connects to handbrake wire under the center console. Those were the only single wires in the setup. There were definately no single white wires What type of model TT is it?

OH it's a Blitz harness. Must be the ground then?

Who knows? thanks for taking a stab at it. I guess I should have got a HKS harness! Someone must have done this with the Blitz harness (which dosen't have directions BTW). The TT install manual doesn't mention the white wire either, maybe I got the wrong harness?

my GUESS is the white wire on the Blitz harness is the ground wire...white is sometimes used for grounds...and it apparently requires grounding, or the other harnesses wouldn't have a ground wire

I can't figure out why the HKS harness mojo got has 2 black ground wires and mine only has one....kinda' weird...but the instructions that came with my DCIII model Blitz FATT only show 1...maybe it's a difference between the DCII and DCIII TT's ??
