Something is definitely wrong. The release bearing basically pulls directly on the diaphragm so there is nothing to interfere with the pressure plate's action. We test each pressure plate for clamp load so there is no chance the diaphragm is by chance way too strong. I don't know exactly what the problem is, but the pressure plate or disc is not likely at fault. Let me know what you find.

sounds like your throwout bearing is installed wrong

thanks for the help. you made me check the tb and it wasn't pushed all the way in. i was told from someone that the tb would engage itself once the trans was bolted back on. i didn't know you need to pry it back on.
thanks again!

well i finally drove it. it feels just a little bit stiffer than stock. wish i didn't have to break it in so i can see what it really can do. ![Big Grin](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
let see if it last longer than my stock one... 3500 shouldn't be too hard to beat
