Okay, back from the dead. I want to switch my AC fan on and off manually for the track. How can this be done without damaging the any relays or controllers?

you can put a relay 2pole double throw type to make a resistor to take the place of the fan, fan disconected by relay. does this make sense?

sorry man... unfortuantely it doesn't make a lot of sense. At a glance I see two plugs that go to the AC fan which wire on which harness would I tap? Where would I put a resistor? What size would I use? Would I be applying power or ground?

here is how its connected.

normal position 1 is shorted to 3
2 is shorted to 4

after you trow the switch. 3 is shorted to 5
4 shorted to 6

all you have to do now is wire your power 12v source from 1 and 2 to power the fan.
do you understand now?

lol that pic was freaking awesome. Don't have time to really look into it at the moment, but I sure do appreciate all the effort, I'll get back at it asap.

Alright, after looking at it:

-I want to wire the AC fan, not the regular radiator fan.
-Do I merely tap the wires on the diagram or am I cutting them? I want the car to continue to have OE functionality for the AC fan.
-lol how will I know which wires those are in real life? I can read a wiring diagram... but I can't easily transfer that to the real thing in my mind. The wires that go into the AC fan can be seen through the front bumper on the left side (if you don't have a massive IC). It has 2 separate harnesses going to it... I wouldn't know which to work on. Any way you can work your MSPaint magic on a real picture of the wires on the AC fan? lol, I know, I suck... and I'm sorry.

"Has anybody installed a switch to activate the radiator cooling fan"
this is what you said in your first post. i guess im lost on what the heck you wan tto do. if you want to wire in a AC fan, then just get a 12Vdc to 120VAC converter, and plut your fan to it. easy and you dont have to wire into any factory wires at all.

lol, I think we're miscommunicating. By AC fan I mean the auxillary cooling fan that is between the IC and the radiator. (It's a "pusher" fan)

-Also I'm not the OP so that wasn't my question, I'm concerned with the AC fan, not the normal fan. The AC fan will blow air over the turbo and pull it through the IC, so I think it would be more advantageous. Sorry to yank you all over the place man, but thank you for being willing enough to help. I just barely struggled by my EE classes for a reason.
