WR Dyno Post Here

I figured we should start a thread for the dyno results. Attached is Tony's dyno from the long WR thread. FYI, stock 03s are about 180 or so hp on this dyno.

Let's keep this to just dyno sheets or time slips.

With only one hour of tuning, a small boost leak that I think I have subsequently found and a whopping 100 degrees ambient temperature, here's what MZM was able to come up with:

There was only a net gain of 26.5 HP and 21.4 lbs TQ, but the boost was spiking at 23 and tapering down to 19.5. After getting the car home, cooling it off and doing some searching, I found the intercooler outlet junction to be a little loose. Tried to tighten it and the clamp stripped. Luckily I had an extra one laying around and replaced it. Now the car doesn't taper below 20.5 - 21 lbs.

If feels great! I went for a drive this morning on some new twisties that I found going out towards Medina Lake and the temperature outside was about 76 degrees. The car feels like a monster and I know that there's some more in there.

Hopefully Mark from TT will be able to massage the rest of it out of there as well as adding the alcohol injection power that's just waiting to be tuned for.

I wanted to give you an apples to apples comparision. Unfortunately, the boost leak does not make this absolutely accurate. At the very least you can see that spool is VERY close to stock but feels faster by the seat of your pants.

Thanks to everyone involved so far from installation to tuning. I have high hopes for this coming Saturday with Mark. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Tony

Try to go up with boost. Depending on mods you can run up to 26 PSI or so safely on 93 octane. That is where the turbo really wakes up. At 20-22 PSI I thought it performed about the same as the stock turbo. I have dyno charts as well. 367 WHP and 343 ft lbs of torque on a Dynapack AWD dyno but I tuned it pretty conservatively as I have to retune it soon for water injection anyway. Just wanted to get it drivable for the customer.

Dan, it was tuned very conservatively because of Tony's boost leak and he was waiting for an alky kit tune.

I like the dyno because it gives a good comparison with boost kept the same. The WR would have actually done better without the boost leak problem, but still pushed much more air up top.

The mods are very similar to yours, 272s, injectors, EBC or MBC, dp, exhaust... The main difference is probably the Power FC instead of the UTEC.

Guys, this dyno reads about 180 hp on stock 03s. Let's keep this open for posting results and not dyno debate.
