wtf...clunking noise???

whenever I get in my car for the first time each day and start to back up I hear a clunk or thudunk from the rear-passenger side of the car, anybody have any idea what this annoying noise is?
It only happens the first drive of the day and it doesnt always make the noise. FYI: I always warm up my car and dont drive hard at all. The car has 12750 miles on stock drivetrain including clutch. Any ideas would help, thanks.

i get it to, mostly turning out of my driveway. its more of a popping though right? sounds like it comes from the suspension area. i have had it since I had the car though. same spot as you.

yep, only when I start to barely let out the clutch to back up for the first time in the morning. Sometimes its louder than other times, other then that the suspension and drivetrain work perfectly normal.....whats going on???

It could be your brake pads are rusting onto your brake drum or it could be your axles or it could be neither.

i don't get that noise, but you know what's under there.

sway bar and your exhaust.

have you looked under to see everything is good, not touching each other, etc?

When I had that noise, it was due to my bracket on the swaybar braking, aftermarket.

do you use the parking brake...could be your brake pad sticking to the rotor...... then breaking free when the car starts to roll

it definatly is when you use your parking brake and the pad is sticking to the rotor like logic is saying it just simply has to break free and then there will be no noise. it is completely normal you shouldnt have to worry about it

I get the same noise but only when someone else has parked my car so it could be the way you stop and pull the parking brake? Do you let out the foot brake before pulling the parking brake (car roll a little)? Try changing your habit and see if the noise disappears.
