Uh, a GT35R should definitley be able to get a car into the 11s on pump gas. You can run a whole lot of boost on pump gas with an efficient compressor and turbine.

it's not as easy as you think, you're really limited by the 91 octane. IF the car makes it into the 11s, it'll be a drag to drive daily with the lag of that turbo. The amount of money that a GT35 kit will cost, compared to a simply alchy kit on the stock turbo, to go the same speed, it just seems so counterproductive.

TME was built for always on performance (rally racing). it's also lighter & spools faster. if i recall, it's also a BB design as well. it is worth the money if you want "stock appearing" but a little morepower.

no it doesn't. the ECU's are preprogrammed for the same RPM. i can tell you by having an '03 & an '05 is that the '05 felt just as fast stock as my '03 did with mods b4 i flashed the '03. waay more tq & for sure if mods are the same, the '05 will have at least 20whp if not more.

Try TME is $800 or $900 or so from Buscher and has a fast spool time as Jarrod has explained to me.

forced performance is down to around $230 for the 10.5 hotside. thinking of doing this until the wr hype disappears and we see some real numbers from a stock looking turbo.
I agree with the thread, as I am looking for low 12's on a stock looking turbo to avoid the lag and driveability issues of the gt series snails. thinking that the 10.5/alky/cams and the other supporting mods will do 12.0 if driven right.. shouldn't need to touch the i/c or any internals other than cams.
a good overall drag performance, but still able to run the track if needed

on this subject, what kind of gains can i expect with a 10.5 hotside and a dynotune?
how much will this increase turbo lag comparatively to a 9.8 hotside?

thanks.

Its all relative to mods, of course. The reason the 05's are quicker than the 03's is because of this larger hotside being able to flow better up top. But to answer your question, stock 5hp, 15trq. as you increase in power you will see more significant gains
