Thanks for the info, I'm running TBE, MBC, fuel pump.

So it basically sounds like a hotside on an 03 will create more hp/torque up top but slightly decrease initial spool?

A tune won't help even this out?

So, which turbo do you think is better? WR, or 6.5 TME? If you had to choose between the two, which one would you go with?

Another question, I just thought about this ...
Does White Rabbit and 6.5 TME both mount on the stock header? I think they do, but I want to be sure. Would appreciate the response.

these are really good questions that I would like to know the answer to as well. Quick question - does the WR have the 10.5 housing? And if it does, then why not muhc improvement over stock turbo?

The WR and 6.5 TME both mount to the stock exhaust manifold. The WR does come with a 10.5 hotside.

how much will this increase turbo lag comparatively to a 9.8 hotside?

thanks.
You can probably expect a 10-15whp increase w/ the 10.5 hotside and dynotune. The reduced backpressure of having the 10.5 hotside does increase the knock threshold, so you can run a little more timing safely.

As for the lag, you won't even notice it after a day. The lag induced by the larger hotside is similar to putting on a larger exhaust. Low end will suffer a little bit, but the gains you notice once the turbo hits will make you forget all about it.

Well since you live litterally down the street from me once the hotside is done being ported and polished You can compare your setup vs. mine . It should be done today or tomarrow and then its going to the powdercoater. I am hoping for an install time of next sunday.

On FP website (maker of the WR), it says that their 605 RS TME also has the 10.5 hotside.

Another thing... Do you think wastegate should be upgraded when upgrading to any one of these turbos, WR, 6.5 TME, Garrett?

Thanks for the response.
