It would be like saying my lighter flywheel caused failure. A pulley does not cause failure. A stock motor is built looser. A pulley is not going to cause failure and I have not yet seen one 4Gxx owner complain or prove that a pulley caused failure.

What I will say though is there are many ways to get power, this is just one of them and all of them take chances.
i do admit that the crankshafts will be way beefy... but higher hp means higher impulse twang. i mean every piston cycle gives you a a wobbling crank shaft... it can only do that so many times. and there will be times when the rpms are in that sweet spot when you get high amplitude twanging. nothing at al like a flywheel... cuz a flywheel is balanced and doesn't contribute or rather take away any damping.

i mean it's totally up to the person. i personally think that pulleys are great... i would want one made with a damper tho. cuz the kinda gain you can get across the board is really not able to be found anywehre else (assuming you're fully tuned out in all other aspects).

i think it's a sad byproduct of lazy profit seekers that's produced the kind of stuff we have on the market today. it don't take anything to machine a uniform density piece of aluminum.... and that's as far as their research and quality control goes. that's it... find a nice uniform piece of al and then machine it to exact tolerances. that's crap... it's not that hard to copy even a RUBBER damper... why not just DO it and have something that is oem caliber? total laziness.

I agree it would be nice if some of the domestic parts companies would step up and make some good dampers like those available for american cars.
