I love their "half the price of other" comment. Hmm.. I wonder if that is because it looks like a high school auto shop class LICP.
Very good analogy w/ the ugly chick!

Half the price for half the quality! Some people don't have a problem putting on parts that don't match OE quality on their EVO. Personally, I *hate* putting on lower quality parts on my car. But I'm super **** about all the mechanicals on my car.

None taken.
However, the welds are now TIG welded, that picture is of the old design. Also, the beads are now done with a bead roller, again old pic. My opinion differs in regard to your statement that welding a bead is a poor way of keeping a coupler on. It works in exactly the same way that a rolled bead works, its a raised surface that helps the coupler fight slipping/backing off and air from escaping passed the clamp. Its just not as "pretty." Tho, what does it matter, as I said, old design.

I wasn't even close on the pricing. Not even close.

The kit is going to include the transition coupling from the turbo outlet to the new mandrel bent 304 SS lower i/c pipe and the new coupling to the intercooler. The tubing alone cost us more than I thought we could retail it for.

Oh well, hopefully we are in the ballpark on this and the quality/fit/peformance makes up for my wrong guess on the price.

Jarrod will be posting pictures and pricing in just a minute.

I've always found it better to let your products do the speaking, rather then you having to down or insult the "competition" yourself. It speaks much better about your products to hear some of your customers compliment your work and recommend it to others, rather then having a person from one company insult another company...buttt I'm sure you knew all of that already, so I'll shut up now everyone

That lower intercooler pipe looks great. I always thought that the pipe should not taper, only the silicon coupler should have the taper. Now if you would just make it out of aluminum you would have the perfect pipe! You already have the design so why not just make them out of aluminum? Or offer both and let the customer decide..

If I can read Buschur said it was gonna be a full 2.5" from the IC to the turbo. This does not look like the case. Still looks like a nice piece and I like it a lot because it is a one piece design.

As far as the fighters piece it is nice as well. It is obviously less expensive and will probably net most of the same result. I am happy to see the developing of a lower IC pipe by some companies. I on the other hand made my own...if you want to see some bad welding then I will post a picture.

As I said about the fighters piece, no offense was meant, it just wasn't pretty. They said the same thing and have since went to TIG welding and bead rolling, so it is all good.

Our pipe, like everyone elses goes from the stock turbo outlet to the FMIC. It is full 2.5" between there.
