Cam decision?

I've got Vishnu Stage 1 with delete pipe/x-flash, and looking for more performance. I don't want to sacrifice much in the way of drivability. Someone rec to me the HKS 272 - can anyone give me rough estimate on the gains/cost/driveability sacrifice on getting these??

I have HKS 272 without any drivability problem. My peak tq comes in at 3500rpm therefore it drives like a v8. Below is my dyno sheet on CA 91 octance...hope that helps.

Thanks,
Tom

Cams are sweet, no questions asked. The idle is no big deal really, 264's or 272's they all equal more power and in my mind no downfalls.

Just have someone legit do the installation. People get in over their head when they think it is an easy install.

This is undoubtably my favorite. List of mods and GSC 264/264 this is a little before and after. and when i mean before and after; these guys put them in in the parking lot before they ran the second one. exact same mods on both; one with gsc 264/264 and one with out...uh the one with more power had the cams

Injen Intake w/ upper piping
Nology Hotwires
Stock turbo/hotside/o2 housing
3" DP, high-flow cat, cat-back
Walbro fuel pump
Hallman Boost controller
TT Flash/tune

same mods with out GSC cams

5 months is a long time to spend installing cams in the parking lot

Heh, I missed that. Instead I was looking at the Date/Time printed, trying to figure out how they did the install in 88 seconds.

Cams

I was guessing more like 15 hp gains by adding the HKS 272 to my Vishnu stage 1. Are the GSC or others similarly priced/as good?

Sounds like not much downside to cams except cost from what I hear here.

Thanks for all the imput.
