How much power to expect from IC?

Kind of curious, how much power I could get out of my current set up by getting a bigger front mount and some IC pipes.

Current mods

3" TBE
Intake
Cams
MBC

320hp/330tq

Stock intercooler and piping at this time.

^weird. more flow more power. its abt 20hp at the crank and the lower IC is abt 7 hp.

AMS is one of the best out there.

there are two guys here locally that both got the buschar delux fmic and both picked up roughly 1-2mph in the quarter mile and 2 tenths with no other changes. Also seems that both cars were a little more consistant. Not to mention the bling bling factor!!! Id do it if i had 1000 lying around.

i wonder if it may be more difficult to pinpoint actual whp gains since there'd be substantial more airflow at speed than on a dyno.

I think this may help your question about the FMIC.

About the pipe kit I'm not sure, but rumor has it that Nisei will be doing some tests though.

Good Luck!

That much money for 13hp hardly seems worth it. I'm thinking alky injection maybe the route to go for cooling

You don't need to touch that IC until you upgrade the turbo and plan on pushing more than 425awhp.

Alky and LICP would be the way to go here...

You've been pretty spot on so far. I think alky and LICP wouldn't even amount to the cost of a good FMIC and I'll probably get TONS more performance.

Spool will be a little slower, because the bigger core will take longer to fill. I gained nothing with my AMS IC on the dyno, and lost about 200rpm of spool. Its good groundwork for a big turbo, but a waste on a 16G, Tommi Makinen, or white rabbit IMO.
