hey guys...i did my first oil change myself...and everything went well..but i have one question about the oil filter...i didn't have time to go to the mitsu dealer to get their oil filter..so i dropped by murrays and got a "mobile-1.. M1-108" oil filter for my evo8...the size of it is way smaller than the one for mitsu...i was just wondering if my car will be running fine...and has anyone used this oil filter for their car and will it run normally like the mitsu dealer oil filter ...thanks..

 

I used the same one with no problems. I will go back to the mitsubishi one though. I like the thought of the bigger filter.

Most of the after market (non-mitsu) are smaller.

 

It will work fine...you should have any problems...

i use the fram one. funny thing the fram is smaller than oem for my car but on my gf accord, it's bigger than oem.
