Boost ?

Might be a dumb question. I just started noticing that when I cut the evo on the boost gauge stays at 0 psi for a little while (at least for a minute or more) then goes down. Everything seems OK. No CEL. Its that normal? I don't recall it doing that before.

your boost gauge is hook up wrong. Make sure it is hook up to the intake manifold and not to the fuel pressure regulator

Anyone have the service manual directions to where does the boost gauge line actually hooks up to?

There's nothing wrong with that location. That's exactly where the vac/boost line should be. The reason being is, you can trust the fuel pressure regulator line to see full vac/boost pressures.

As for your gauge sticking not sure I had this a couple times with my Defi gauges and thought something was wrong with the sending unit, jiggled the lines to make sure they were secure and haven't had the issue since.

In your situation I'd tend to look at the routing from the engine compartment. maybe the line was pinched or cut somewhere.

I tried that. It was working fine the day I installed it. Until today. With the car on I also pull the vacumm line of the gauge and felt no sucking pressure. I also tried anothe boost gauge (apexi) I it did the same thing.

Mine did that until I hooked it up to the fuel pressure line.

Mines is hooked up to the fuel pressure line. It must have been a freak of nature. But everything is working fine now.
