did you put on the upper ic pipe? if so how........lol I cant get the end of it to reach or match up to the stock middle ic pipe.

with a standalone that uses an aftermarket inlet air temp sensor you cant really tell us much.

BUT I CAN TELL YOU THIS. THERE ARE NO FAST CARS IN THE COUNTRY RUNNING ANYTHING FROM SSAUTOCHROME OR XSPOWER. AND ITS NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL SPONSORED EITHER...
do you have any idea what you're talking about, because to the rest of us it looks like you're just spouting off at a company who can undercut most of your prices.

Just because something is cheap does NOT always mean its poor quality. You can hire some of the best programmers ever, in Bangalore India for pennies on the dollar. They will accept $4/hour compared to most U.S. programmers that expect $20/hour and higher.

I have heard that several companies like this, have outsourced all of their labor to cheaper areas (china, mexico, india) but still use quality materials and designs. They are often times "knock-offs" from other companies, but can be sold via the internet when they are shipped from countries like china that have hardly any copyright laws.

I could be wrong, but up to this point you havn't shown any facts to support your claim. Someone else in this thread said they have 347 whp and you're here telling us that these intercoolers arn't on any fast cars? Thats a bold statement with very little backing.

Please get your facts straight, and use them next time before you voice off so greatly against a competitor. I would love to see FACTS from people regarding these products so we can get to the bottom of whether or not they're "garbage". Please, supply us those facts...

I actually made close to 500whp on a mustang dyno with this intercooler. I'll see how it likes the PT67 shortly...

That is precisely why they can get away with it, and there is nothing anyone
can legally do about. It's harsh... but a true reality. It's been going on for years now.

It's pretty hard for American manufacturing and labor to compete with cheap
overseas labor. Especially when the products made overseas are sometimes
just as good and cost much less.

This reminds me of the Ebay O2 housing vs Helix housing.

Time will tell if these SS autochrome or Ebay FMICs are really better
than the much more expensive FMICs.

exactly my point... people should stop instantly knocking these products just because they're loads cheaper than the competition. I wouldn't be saying this if they would supply facts to back up their claims, but as it stands I've only heard outlandish accusations based on very, very little evidence.

I had a friend use one on a honda and he actually produced 604@26psi on 1.8 liter motor. The specs on the intercooler were 24X12X4. He was using a T04R. I was pretty impressed it actually held the boost well.

Thus far I've only heard good things. I eagerly await your shattering evidence of this interoolers "garbage" status.

Maybe SS autocrome has crappy manifolds I agree, but there are a **** load of hondas using the intercooler with no problems and definetly making big power.

I didnt make that post, my coworker steve did actually under my name, but either way he is right. We had few local customers use this intercooler with bad results on hondas. Also just search on evom about a week ago someone tested this intercooler and the stock one performed better. As for personal experience with it i dont have or care too.

The only people saying this unit doesn't perform are the ones who sell IC them selfs or are attached to a shop in one form or another.

I have personal experience with this intercooler, its on my car currently. I race my car on a weekly basis and I also log boost, knock, timing, ect. With the addition of this IC I was able to run more boost w/less knock which resulted in an average 3mph increase in my 1/4 mile traps & 2-3mph increase in my 1/8th mile traps.
