Code(s) probably a P0115 or a P0118
I did put it on while it was cold

NOt sure what P0115 is but DTC P0118 is Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input . P0118 means either the sensor is open or shorted to battery\5V.

I thought ECU is in open loop only at WOT. It could be throwing a code not sure that that DTC is because the ECU think the coolant temperature is at 180F do to the resistor but something else is telling it that the engine is cold.

Alright guys so I just put one end of the chip into the temp. sensor (female)and the other end into it's connector (male)? Also where is the temp. sensor located?

If you follow the upper coolant hose, you'll see a black connector on the T-stat housing.

It's a 2 wire connector .

Just got mine today also, Im a little confused on the installation, do you leave the sensor unplugged and put the chip in the wire plug for the sensor? Or do you plug it into the actual sensor and leave it unplugged, which to me makes no sense cause the ECU isnt seeing anything. Or do you plug it back in with the chip installed? My thinking would be to unplug the sensor, and install the chip as a jumper from one hole to the other on the wire harness plug. Is this correct? It would be nice if Buschur included some instructions or at least post some up.

This is correct. You are using it to simulate what the sensor was doing. If you hook it in parallel it will offset the voltage to temperature correlation and should throw a CEL.

I used it this weeked at the track , it worked pretty good (check sig) . What I did was Unplug the temp sensor (if you follow the top coolant hose for the Rad to the block it will be about 1-2"under the coolant elbow on the back side of the motor) , unpluged the temp sensor-plug from the temp sensor , take the "chip" and make it into a "U" shape , push the "chips" leads into the temp sensor-plug . Use tape to make sure it don't come out . The ecu should see a constant temp of 180-190 (dont rember what the reading was on my digimoto software) . My car was warmed up and I didnt get a CEL like b4 when it was cold .

Nice times! Was this on race gas? Which clutch do you have and mods???

Nice runs, do you have any before and after chip #'s without any other changes? Wondering just how much power this thing really adds. Thanks

Nice times, any list of your mods. I plan on hitting the track soon after getting tuned, and hopefully this chip can help

sorry no b4 and after just with the "chip" , I changed a couple of things (leaner tune, camgears, more psi)
Power-Mods are BRst1+dynoflash , injen intake , BR st3 , cams gears, 28 falling to 23 psi and 110 octane
BUT I did run 3 back to back runs and the 3rd run was the 117.3mph , ran 3 more back to back runs and the 3rd was 116.X so it keep it more constant 4 sure !

Can anyone post pics of the area to install and the temp sensor? It'd be a big help. Thanks.
