30lbs? Are you talking about on STikiller.com? Thats the shipping weight they use to calculate shipping costs. It weighs less than 30lbs. I can't find exact specs on its weight but it is light. Keep in mind there is more to the twin plate system than the stock clutch/ flywheel so it adds weight. The exedy's built in flywheel is lighter than stock.

Being that it's a warranty issue and you are going to have the cost covered, you'd be foolish to not go with a twin disc (no pun intended). I've had both, and to be honest, i'd never recomend the single to anyone. They wear way too quickly. My twin disc is noisy, and grumpy in cold weather, but it holds the 450+whp that I throw at it everyday. If I were you i'd spend the extra cash and do the carbon twin. It's much more driveable, and doesn't rattle like the cerametalic. If I were to buy a twin disc again that is definatley what i'd do.

Supposed to be more drivable on the street. Some magazine has a review on it...just don't remember which. It was recent and may still be at your local bookstore.
