ACT Clutch Break In (Need Definitive Answer to Specific Question)
Searching did not help.
I have a new ACT HD coming in and it will be installed by Wensday/Thursday of next week. I have an autox on Sunday, and I want to get the clutch broken in by then. I plan on driving 500-600 miles by the race. My question is if, say half of those are highway miles, will the clutch still be fully broken in? I plan on driving highway for a about 300+ of the miles, but the rest should be stop and go, or alot of downshifting. Just seeing what is recommend in terms of getting the clutch broken in properly and not affecting, adversely, the life of the disk.

you should be fine, do as much stop and go as possible, after 200 miles start to get a little more aggressive but dont launch it or anything yet and see how it feels. as long as you put a good 100 miles of stop and go your good. people say 300+ because usually part of that is highway. it just needs to be ran through soe heat cycles
