since ive been reading good stuff about the megan dp and now this TBE system i was thinking of getting it but still concerned about sound and performance. Do you have dyno numbers and a sound clip? does it sound similar to stock but a tad louder?

You have a 2" ID test pipe FYI. Megan went through a bad batch of test pipes that are restricted to 2" ID. They should be 3" ID. I pointed this out and they are making changes on the manufacturing end back to the old style 3" ID.

The flanges are, the ID is not. Look at it again. If you have not personally inspected their "new" ones. I suggest you do. This picture is from your "OWN" customer and clearly shows the taper to 2" inside the resonator. It is not supposed to do that. There was a change in the manufacturing process. Evidently they are changing them back to the old style. They should swap these out no problem as they did mine. Still the best TBE for the money available.

I've contacted Megan and attempting to arrange an "exchange" for those who got the narrow pipe.

On another note, I'm going to have them send me another full turboback so I can make sure everything is right, and included to insure NO MORE PROBLEMS!!!! All and all, it has been worth it as the quality, and price has been great. I just have to get these issues straightened out.

On another note, I have been shocked at the customer service I have seen from Megan. You would not expect such service from a "lower priced" performance part manufacturer. They amaze me and I am convinced that their goals are to provide a quality product at a good price while keeping customers happy. This should turn out fine.

If looking through it you see the resonator sticking out or protruding a half inch on both sides and tapering, then that is the new restrictive style. The outside flange diameter should also be the inside diameter where the resonator begins. One basically you can fit your hand through the other, well you can't.

Just frustrated at the lack of communication between myself and Megan on this issue (downpipe/delete pipe). It is ironed out now, but I pride myself on my word, and I said these were true 3"... well, a few were not. That is embarrassing to me. This is an enthusiast side project for me, but even though I'm not trying to pay the bills with this, I'm old school, and my word is most important. If I say "it is" my customers need to be confident in that "it is". The main reason I took up this endeavor is that I was tired of ridiculously high prices, and poor customer service.

Yes Megan really is trying to "step it up" and carry a good, honest name... and on that note, my customers who received a "narrow" delete pipe will be taken care of by Megan as per my conversation with them tonight.

BTW folks, there have been a couple little changes to the newer catbacks, and I hope them to be a little nicer yet!
