I only got 1800miles on my 05 and i think there is a boost leak, this is my first turbo car so im just guessing. when im accelerating it seems like its skipping 3k-4k and the boost comes back on at 5k. Is that a boost leak? i gotta go into the dealer tomorrow and im F'N pissed

Sounds like the clutch is slipping.

 

if it comes back in full......i dont think its a boost leak. if it were really leaking, you would lose boost and wont recover.

 

If its the clutch then im going to go crazy! there not going to cover that!!!

100% sure it's your clutch. Having experienced both a boost leak and slipping clutch ( not at the same time thank god ) it's def. a clutch. WHy?


Boost leak is like this : mash the gas boost hits while mashed the boost drops like taper but only faster and never to return till the next shift.


slipping clutch is like this : mash the gas hit full boost RPM goes thru the roof while your not going any faster, then when the clutch finally grabs it catches at the RPM it was supposed to be at.
