Hey guys ...whats the stock boost preasure on an MR. I know mine spikes to about 1.5 bar then tapers off but to what? Plus I added these mods K&N Typhoon intake Invidia DP and Invidia CBE w/o a tune. The problem was the boost would "flutter"(so to speak). I called K&N and they said to duct tape the filter until I get it tuned to restrict air flow so the ECU doesn't go haywire trying to compensate for the massive influx of air. I can't get it tuned right now because I'm getting deployed on a submarine for 6 months . So I did that and now it doesn't flutter but spikes up to about 1.4-1.5 bar then tapers out to 1.2-1.3bar is that normal? Thanx in advance.

 

Yes its normal, all 05's boost to 20.3-20.5psi tappers down to around 17.5psi.

The 05 mr are boosted higher and run leaner from the factory than earlier models.

 

Just recently getting dyno'ed, mine boosts at ~21psi tapering all the way down to a sh*ty 16psi @ redline
