What does my water pump have to do with me keeping my 03? OBVIOUSLY, the pump came deffective from the factory. I posted bc i wanted to try to find out what was wrong with the car b4 i had to take it for warranty, and try to fix it myself if it was something simple. I also posted this info because if there are other 05 owners out there and they get the same problem, they have an idea whats wrong with the car and they can address the issue to . I dont know why you have to come here and bash the thread or posts, thats why theres a forum so ppl can post about car issues and get help from other Evo owners. I love my 05 and im very happy with it. Its MY car and i want it running good, not broken............

I think the water pump on 05s just bad! when I got mine at the 1st week the water pump broke.

i have an 05 evo 8,the other day on the highway my freeze plug popped out,colant all over the highway.car has 3400 miles on it.i had it towed to the dealer.the service rep declined my warranty.he said the car got in an accident.because the under tray is off,the mesh is out of the front bumper,and im missing my abs bracket somehow.earlier in the day i had just grazed a bambi(deer)very mild damage to the front bumper.darn mitsubishi is ****.they want my insurance company to fix the motor.

 

Well, i just got my car back.Good as new!!!!!!!!! The only thing is that still smells like coolant in the engine bay and inside the car from when it leaked out, hopefully it will go away.

Better if you go through the insurance company and have them fix the car at mitsu. That way the will pay for it and you dont have to go through that bull**** with the serv rep.
