tranny problem

Whenever i shift from 2nd to 3rd it is hard to get into gear and i can hear a grinding noise. I think my 2nd to 3rd synchro is going. I have a 2005 evo with only 2500 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem.

if it only has 2500 miles on it, warrantly should cover any issue.

Bring it right to the dealer. Dont ever mess with the car and try to fix it your self. They might even try to blame it on you if you changed the fluid on it. Always bring it in right after you notice any problem.

There have been many threads on this before. Mine is doing the same thing. Fluid change helped some, clutch pedal adjustment helped some, but it is still a little rough. 3000miles on a '05

You should bring your car into the dealer and have them fix it since its under warranty. Why waste money, time, and energy when they will do it for you for free.

Ah...go there with a bat and beat some sense in them or better yet...go to another dealership. None of my car grinds during its break-in period.

Its more than likely the syncros. i have an 05 and have had the tranny rebuilt twice. 1st at 6k and agian at 11k. I do abuse mine tho. drag allot. at any rate, if you shift high in rpm's allot chances are your tranny will go unless you granny shift the thing evertime. i hate mitsu trannys. take it in, and take in b4 you do any mods.
