Hey guys, well I have a very weird problem going on right now. I replaced my stock cams with GSC 272s and since then have had no problems. Well I'm trading my car in and swapping out the GSCs and fidanza cam gears for the stock cams/cam gears. We followed the EVO moto guide exactly and had everything timed perfectly. Well when we tried to start up the car, it hesitated but then eventuall started. The car was idling, but it was running real rough. Eventually the engine would stall and whenever we tried starting it up again it would take a long time to crank and would do the same thing all over again. We quadruple checked the timing, which was spot on. I have stock everything on right now except for a TB exhaust. I had a UTEC to control fuel/timing, but I took it off and reconnected the stock ECU.

A friend of mine who works at a Mitsu dealership said I needed to get my ECU reflashed in order to correct the timing, will that solve my problem? My buddy and I (he's a auto tech.) have been working on this for hours and hours and still can't figure it out. And suggestions would be awesome! Thanks in advance guys!

 

the cams are either out of phase or the cam to crank timing is off.......recheck everything

 

try checking the cam angle sensor as well, it could be in the wrong way, if that isnt set in the same spot as before it will make your car run like ****
