freeze plug problem

i have an 05 evo 8.i had my freeze plug pop out on my block.the dealer of course denied my warranty.i was wondering if you can still have a compression test or leakdown test done with the one freeze plug missing.how many other people have had their freeze plug pop out of the block and not the water pump one.thank you.

They are on the block, under the head, on the exhaust side.

Popping a freeze plug isn't unheard of but it is also not common.

We had a brand new car with stock head bolts at the shop, 600 miles on it, popped the freeze plug out. We replaced it, installed head studs and never had another problem.
