IX Head on a VIII

IX Head on a VIII

hey i wanted to know the IX as i read all that diff is the head kind of. can i just buy the head and thow it on the evo 8. i mean the ecu is that diff at all for the vavuble timing. becasue as i read the ecu is same just 3 conntion to 2 conntion. so if anyone knows let me know thanks.

if anything like doing ls/vtec swaps for a honda i would look into oil line passages, also. block may be the same but have different casting methods.

IIRC, the IX ECU is different than the VIII. Potential problems there.

Finding a 9 head would be difficult and EXPENSIVE. Then what if it didn't fit. The positives don't out-way the negatives (hp/tq gains, money,labor,etc)

Just buy a set of cams and an ECU for the same price and your better off.
