Turbo problems.

last night as i was driving home i swerved to get out of the way of this cat. i hit and went over the curb to my right and almost lost control on the shoulder. i stopped and got out to see if i did any damage. Thank god there was only a bunch of dust kicked up. There were no dent's to show i hit anything but what bothers me is that the grill fencing covering the intercooler is all bent in and now when the turbo spools up it sounds way loud - like almost too much air coming out, like maybe a hose had got diconnetcted. does anybody know what this is? Could something have gotten disconnected?

Maybe an intercooler pipe?

does the car "feel" any different. If you dented the IC, you can get a change in intake pitch.

Hell ya! Screw the cat or even a dog. If the owners of these animals love them so much then put them on a leash. Anyway either one of the hose got loose or since the grille got bent, it may have punctured the intercooler.

You are a good man for trying not to kill the animal.
If you are concerned, just make yourself a leak tester with parts from a hardware store. It may cost no more than $20. That is only way to know for sure if you air track not disturbed.
