Stalling

I recently installed the JDM MR BOV and since them, I get the occassional problem of the car either stalling or dropping down to about 400rpms and nearly stalling if I don't give it gas. I noticed it likes to happen when I am sharply turning the wheel and going slowly in first gear, either uphill or downhill. I double checked the installation and all it done correctly. I made sure it's clamped on good.

I know others have experienced this and I did a search before posting this, but I cannot find a definative answer to my problem.

Any ideas? The BOV is brand new too. Not a used product.

I would put the stocker back in and see if it solves your stalling problem. If it does solve the problem the JDM MR DV is defective. Mine hold great with no stalling or dropping of rpm.

I bought the part new from Gruppe-S not too long ago. I noticed the problem about a day after I installed it. I've yet to throw the stocker back on, but my guess would be it would solve the problem. My question is whether this is a common problem with the JDM MR BOV? It seems that some people either have the same problem or no problem at all. For those that have the problem, do you know what caused it? Are there that many faulty JDM MR BOV's out there?

yeah, what's wierd is, for some people, they don't have any problems, while other people's JDM BOV would stall their car...I'm baffled too.

No, this should not happen. The JDM MR DV works perfectly with 0 idling or stalling issues whatsoever as long as it is installed properly unless perhaps it is combined with an open-air intake of some sort...

i installed it correctly, I know that for sure. i've done it a few times before with zero problems, except on my car of course! The only other mod I have is a Works drop in air filter.

I'm not referring to connecting the proper hose to the proper nipple...I mean ensuring there are no pinholes in any hoses, everything is clamped down tightly, and that there are no leaks anywhere. There's just no reason for it to cause idle issues if the system is sealed unless the valve itself is broken.

I've experienced the same stalling issue w/ the JDM MR BOV. The only situation it happens is if I do a light throttle input and then lift and step on the clutch, like you would do if you were trying to do a quick 3-pt turn. Other than that, it drives perfect.

My intake is stock w/ the exception of the WORKS drop-in filter. I've had the issue before and after my filter install. I've pressure tested my intake and there are no leaks up to 20 psi. All the clamps are tight.

I wonder if the EVO IX BOVs have the same issue. I want to get my hands on one to try. Anyone know the p/n for it?
