ok - i have the same problem with my idle and I do not have a VTA. I have to blip the throttle to keep it up as it will drop down and stall. I also raised the idle by turning up the screw on the throttle body as well as used my safc to add fuel at 800rmps. Now I keep getting the idle to high code thrown, but hey when the idle drops it doesn't go to low now, well at least not near as often.

I did not have this problem until a dyno flash a while back. Took it to Buschur had them add alky kit and reflash and they did something to fix the idle. The problem went away. then moved to LA and got rid of the dynoflash. Went with the SMART Xede tuned by Shiv himself and the idle problem is back.

I am now thinking there might be a problem with my idle air control valvue. I think I might get it replaced and see if that helps fix the problem. the saga continues....
