no top end

Hi. I have been having trouble with my new walbro fuel pump not working well. I bypassed a relay to get 12v at the pump and it seemed to fix it, it has heaps of pressure but when i hit highish boost and rev over 5g it has no power and feels like its missing. Could this still be a pump problem or maybe i need to gap my spark plugs or something any ideas. thanks.

Are you stock otherwise? It is already running pig rick above 5k rpms so adding more fuel would only make it worse, so there would be no power increase.

Then put the original pump in. I don't think you need the upgraded pump with those mods.

Agreed, and check the fuel pressure reg. it is not helpful without supporting mods anyways.

Well, that's what he meant. YOu may have exhaust and intake, but why in the world would you add an FPR and a fuel pump to an untuned car? You just took a car that runs PIG RICH from the factory and added even MORE fuel, which is no good. With a tune, you may rune perfectly, but I'm not sure why you have the FPR. There's no use for the Fuel Pump right now, so keep the stocker in there. Once you get tuned, throw it back in and ensure the tune accounts for the extra fuel...
